Battersea Power Station, UK

Battersea Power Station; no doubt it is an icon of the London skyline, it is pretty impressive from the banks of the Thames but standing inside is something else. This place is massive. Even though it is now a shell and a shadow of its former self, Battersea is still a really impressive building. And for those who think laterally, this place contains a few surprises.

Ten Meters in diameter, red brick lined, 100 years old and a mission I’ll never forget, the Rankine Hydro Electric Power Station, Niagara.

Ashio – Abandoned Mining Town, Japan

Ashio: Japan’s largest copper producer for over 100 years, a forced labor camp for allied POWs during WW2 and the source of Japans worst ever industrial pollution incident and now an UrbEx wonderland. Power stations, refineries, houses, shops, mines and more, an entire mining town abandoned to the elements and those keen enough to visit.
